Who we are and What we do:
Davis Express is a family owned and operated trucking company dedicated to providing prompt, superior service to our customers, and to doing so safely and efficiently. In business for more than 40 years, we continue to reliably transport grocery items and consumer products to our customer base throughout the southeast region, via state-of-the-art refrigerated trailers.
Employing some of the most advanced communications and freight tracking technologies available to-date, such as fully integrated Qualcomm satellite communications and R-COM trailer-tracking systems, at a moment's notice, our team is prepared to quickly and accurately pinpoint equipment, and to analyze and provide critical data about any load. It also empowers them to provide our drivers with the information needed to run the safest and most efficient route to their pickups and destinations.
At Davis Express, we understand the importance of teamwork, and know that it takes all of our employees working together (on and off of the road) in order to be successful and to get the job done right the first time.
Administration, Safety And Recruiting:
Our administrative staff, along with our Safety and Recruiting professionals, approach their responsibilities with integrity and conscientiousness, working hard to ensure that we hire only the safest and most qualified truck drivers in the industry, requiring them to meet strict safety guidelines before becoming part of our team--Experienced professionals who understand and take serious their responsibilities on the highway, as well as our strong commitment to our customers.
Operations and Customer Service:
In our Operations and Customer Service departments, our experienced staff of representatives, Load Planners and Dispatchers strive to make sure that loads are processed and delivered safely and on-time. Our Customer Service Group is configured into small, regional jurisdictions, allowing each representative to focus on and better serve the specific needs and requirements of our customers in their areas, on a more personal and individualized basis. The results of their expertise and hard work help to set us apart from other trucking companies.
Maintenance Team:
We also take great pride in our maintenance technicians and facilities. Our recent expansion provides the room and state-of-the-art technologies to keep our youthful fleet in excellent condition. Our well-trained and skilled mechanics work every day to keep our trucks and trailers ready for dispatch. Their hard work and determination help assure a load gets to its destination on time, claim free and safely.
